I agree and disagree here. We should definitely do our best to stack the deck in our favor and do our due diligence to prepare properly. However, we shouldn’t be okay with failure. We should try and learn as much from failure so that we don’t repeat the same failure or mistake again. Big difference here.

Prior to engaging in a challenge or endeavor, we should do our best to stack the deck in our favor through adequate preparation and then approach the challenge with excitement and confidence.
In this however, we should not be afraid to fail because this fear will hold us back from performing to our true potential.
We must learn how to F.A.I.L. before we can learn how to succeed. Failure is our first attempt at learning. In the SEAL teams, we referred to failure as “learning taking place” as long as we weren’t making the same mistakes over and over.
