How can we integrate something which is already in us. you mean to use it whenever we have the occasion.
if everybody is a monster, who going to accept or swallow your monster attitude?
Brother.. watch his all videos to be more clear.. what he says… A monster under control.. being harmless is not good all the time.. We have infinite energies inside us that’s only activate under monstrous actions n save that energy…
A man should have constructive as well as destructive ability both under control… Only situations will tell when to use what… Example like being polity is good but shouting gives you more energy.. so accumulate that energy.. n have excessive control over you abt when to be polite, when not to be..
We are more inclined towards positive sides of everything be caring, polite, harmless, creative, non aggressive, lover n not fighter type, being good no bad .. he says a man should also have *ability to execute* opposites quality.. choice should be yours what, when, how to show n to wht extent…
What he means is that someone that is at all times polite regardless of the circumstances for fear of harming others, is not ethical or moral but cowardice. In the other hand, someone who is capable of cruelty but decides to not be cruel, is ethical, because if you don’t have the capacity to do evil, then you are not good at all because you don’t have the option to choose not to do it.
Now the idea is that everyone has the capacity for evil, but nowadays is something that we are told to suppress or set aside as an inexistent part of our personality, in the other hand, Peterson tries to say that integrating that sort of aggressiveness into one’s personality, develops our character. Or something like that, is a complex concept that i have just began to understand. Is like that phrase “is better being a warrior in a garden that a gardener in war”. Anyhow, you are only ethical and moral when you decide to be good even though you have the capacity to do evil.

We all have within us the nature of a saint and a sinner. Those natures are often competing for attention within us. Let us try to capture the worst thoughts and impulses within us and offer them up to love, offer them up to our God nature. Oscar Wilde said that “every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.” May we turn ourselves to our future, to our better self.
I can resonate with this message. The reason I have a Saint/Sinner ambigram tattoo on the inside of my arm.
