we muslims do it in ramadan… and fasting have a lot of other purposes despite of losing weight

Very ashamed of a promotion of restrictive eating with no acknowledgment of the effects that diet culture influenced intermittent fasting has had on our eating disorder sufferers. I first had experienced a slip into eating disorder territory and the first part of it was intermittent fasting. Life is about so much more than losing weight.
